Aveda, Origins & Bumble and bumble have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media Manager to join our passionate and hardworking team to create digital first campaigns to engage our consumers.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced Digital Media Manager who will be responsible for defining the strategy to connect, engage and convert the brands target audiences – utilising media expertise to determine where, when and how to reach them through paid and owned media channels.

You will be a natural leader, with strong communication skills with the ability to bring several cross functional teams together. You’ll create and implement media plans to meet our consumer and brand needs, maximising revenue by amplifying awareness, consideration, and desire for our iconic products. Whilst keeping in mind how we can support our salon & retail partners by championing a strong omnichannel approach.

You will be the key point of contact for our media agency and will need to have excellent organisational skills to ensure that all campaigns are delivered on time and to budget. Trend and innovation is in our DNA, and the successful candidate will need to have their finger on the pulse of what is going on across social channels and how we can lean into trend.

WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

Media Agency Management

  • Deliver annual planning brief to media agency working with cross-functional teams to collate all inputs/insights and shape the full year media strategy.

  • Be responsible for media budget planning across the cluster and communicate any changes in budget to the agency.

  • Develop and implement advertising campaigns that build brand equity, loyalty and retention, mapping out the optimal mix of channels to achieve our growth, acquisition and conversion goals.

  • Manage always on media strategy in collaboration with the online teams to deliver on our traffic and sales targets by utilising a cross channel mix including paid search and paid social.

  • Drive innovation in media through conducting research and identifying new platforms, technologies and solutions – always staying ahead of our competition.

  • Manage paid media budget and work with all suppliers and corporate team (as applicable) to ensure accurate accounting.

Reporting

  • Set up and manage the ongoing reporting process giving a consolidated view of performance across the business and identifying optimisation opportunities for the agency to action.

  • The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and will be able to keep on top of 3 dashboards across each brand, flagging concerns to media agency and broader team.

Omni-Channel Consumer Journey

  • Ensure that all campaigns have a 360 degree approach and focus on driving footfall into both salon and store as well as to our digital platforms.

  • Work with the broader consumer engagement team to set the messaging hierarchy and strategy across the three brands ensuring that correct messaging is being used throughout the campaign and across online and offline touchpoints.

Content & Organic Social

  • Localise social content from global for use across campaign activity working in close collaboration with the broader content team.

  • Work in collaboration with the PR team to ensure that influencer selection supports the campaign activity and the content created is native to the desired platform.

  • Work with our local studio to brief and create content that is optimised to media plans.

  • Optimise the performance of assets by providing data-based feedback and recommendations to the content team / studio.

  • Build and implement owned social media strategy for UKI channels working with global counterparts to align to direction, while maintaining local relevance.

  • Coach Social Media Assistant to manage day-to-day running of owned social channels across the three brands, overseeing the content calendar and ensuring that we have a clear content strategy, taking into account Global content, Influencer Content, Artist Briefs and Local Shoots.

  • Work with the corporate team to get relevant consumer insights that can be embedded within content and media briefs.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE

Experience / Education

  • Degree level candidate required.

  • Competent marketer with 5 years’ experience in the industry.

  • Excellent understanding & experience of brand identity, tone of voice and how to communicate with the Aveda, Origins & Bumble and bumble consumer.

  • Reporting and ownership of budget.

  • Experience in global brands / haircare preferable but not essential.

  • In depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest & YouTube; motivated and passionate about social media.

  • Experience in funnel management, conversion and analytics.

  • Experience leveraging audience signals to improve campaign reach and or ROAS.

  • Can derive insight from data and is comfortable manipulating and analysing data, able to translate complex channel-level observations into actionable insights

  • Management experience.

  • Exhibits confidence throughout the paid campaign process – from campaign building and implementing tracking methods, to optimisation and reporting.

  • Demonstratable track record of positive ROI on paid campaigns.
