The Assistant Director of Sales - MICE role is paying up £55,000 - £60,000 per year, dependant on experience. This is a 12 month fixed contract following an internal promotion.

What will I be doing?

The Assistant Director of Sales - MICE is a proactive role within the sales team responsible for the strategic overview and performance of the conference, meeting and convention segment including both bedroom and conference and event revenue. This person will be responsible for a Sales Manager and Sales Executive whilst also managing their own key accounts and proactively driving new and repeat business. The ideal candidate will:

·Be organised and strategic, providing structure for the team and optimise ROI from all sales activities and travel

·Have a strong commercial outlook to work within current business strategies and recognise potential new opportunities

·Be an ambassador for the largest Hilton outside of the US, hosting some of the biggest events in London including conferences, tradeshows, incentives and meetings

·Conduct sales research, presentations and sales activity via audio and virtual calls, hotel show rounds, entertaining clients, attending relevant trade shows, client evenings and fam trips to build relationships and grow market share

·Account manage assigned MICE partners, including key UK & International agencies and corporate clients, whilst seeking out new opportunities to drive revenue

·Analyse of market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads

·Travel locally and internationally to meet clients, share the story of the repositioning and drive business into the hotel

·Produce accurate and timely reports and presentations that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management

What are we looking for?

The Assistant Director of Sales - MICE at Hilton London Metropole will be experienced and ready to level up their career. They will be excited to coach and guide the other members of the sales and GC&E teams. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

·2 years in a proactive sales environment, with some leadership experience preferred

·A confident sales professional, with polished in person and online presenting skills, someone clients and internal stakeholders will trust quickly and want to do business with

·Committed to positive team culture, we work closely with both our onsite commercial and operation teams and Hilton Worldwide Sales above property teams. Your ability to connect with these teams to drive results will be a key driver of your success in the role

·Ability to delegate tasks and ensure other team members stay focused to deliver projects on time, whilst also maintaining your own workload to a high level

·Positive attitude and good communication skills even under pressure

·Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

·Strong contacts and knowledge within the local & international MICE market.

·Experience in the Americas market especially would be a plus

·Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
