Description

Come work with us as an Account Manager helping develop, grow and shape the future of our customers' businesses by understanding and leveraging emerging cloud services.

You possess both a customer obsessed attitude with a good understanding of how UK transportation organisations operate and the challenges they face when making technology decisions.

You will have an ability to build relationships at all levels with customer organisations driving tangible outcomes.

You are a self-starter, who wants to build a business driving tangible customer outcomes, working with regional transportation organisations, airports, ports and transportation partners.

Having an understanding and experience of working with transportation is desired although not mandatory, but having a passion for making a difference most definitely is.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with customers to create, develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

  • Align customers’ requirements with AWS services helping customers to deliver their outcomes.

  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions for our customers around AWS services.

  • Facilitate customer adoption.

  • Maintain a robust customer project pipeline.

  • Work with customers and partners extending capability, and adoption.

  • Contribute to positive customer experience.

  • Expect moderate travel.

A day in the life

  • Lead engagements with a strategic transport customers.

  • Present thought leadership and build relationships with senior management teams.

  • Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of the cloud computing market.

  • Identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators.

  • Understand the technical requirements of our customers and input into Go-To-Market strategy.

  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to create cross industry opportunities.

  • Serve as a key member of the international Transport ecosystem.

  • Understand the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.

  • Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the industry.

  • Manage complex contract negotiations and liaison with the legal group.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the sales technology industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
