Title: Sr. Strategic Business Analyst
This position provides an opportunity to build a truly unique insight development platform for the overall SUT business. This individual will be responsible for providing dedicated support to the SUT leadership by collecting the right data and developing insights to drive short-term and long-term business decisions.
This person will work cross-functionally with BU, commercial sales, quotes/proposals, finance, R&D, marketing and other teams to report and drive actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be able to engage comfortably with stakeholders across SUT and BPD as well as work in a data-driven environment.
Additionally, this position will work directly with the SUT market analysts to help support strategy development and value proposition realization.
Reports to the Director, Marketing & Strategy and supports the entire SUT leadership team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide standard SUT reporting and analysis (actionable insights) starting with the development of dashboards on:
Commercial pipeline reporting & accuracy, inclusive of collaboration with Proposals teams for both hardware and consumables to understand trends in customer quotations, Win/Loss analysis and other relevant measures of leading performance
Transparency/visibility regarding workforce including headcount/open roles
Capital projects tracking
R&D project tracking
Marketing funnel analysis, including ROI (budget to SQO optimization)
Business reviews: assist in the preparation of executive-level quarterly and monthly business reviews and present to internal stakeholders
Helps with the SIOP process for entire SUT product portfolio
Provide direction and guidance to the SUT market analysts to assist with the STRAP process and optimize portfolio/BU level value proposition to meet market share gain targets
Strategic thinker and problem solver; demonstrated ability to drive insights from complex data sets
Must be able to understand and analyze data, synthesizing large volumes of data into meaningful, concise reports with actionable findings.
Advanced Excel knowledge required, Power BI and Salesforce experience preferred
Knowledge of PPI business process and ability to sponsor PPI events
Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence without authority and partner with business functions
Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusions
Ability to work independently, multi-task and respond to requests in timely manner
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize projects and triage output for critical tasks
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 8-10 years of industry experience in biotechnology, with a strong analytical background.
Preferably 2+ years of people management experience in a life science environment.
Has working knowledge of bioprocessing applications, customer biologic development and manufacturing processes, and knowledge of BioProduction competitors.
