Spartronics is seeking a Prototype Technician to join our team in Logan, UT. The Prototype Technician performs a wide variety of production work that is semi-repetitive. They perform medium to high complexity assembly and machine operation. Prototype Technicians directly interact with engineering departments during the build process. They mentor and train production personnel as assemblies phase from prototype to production. Your contributions will help us continue our journey towards Winning as One: One company. One team. Essential Job Functions

• Hand solders electronic assemblies
• Performs electro-mechanical assembly
• Operates manufacturing equipment
• Enters product tracking data
• Inspects products to quality standards
• Creates post-build Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reports
• Works with engineers to develop process and work instructions
• Performs peer training as required

Requirements:

The experience we're looking for to add to the team:

Education/License/Experience Required

• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• 1 -- 3 years related work experience (manufacturing, preferably electronics)
• J-Std. and IPC 610 certifications (preferred)
• Vocational or technical Training (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not provide sponsorship.
• Moderate level of computer skills including Microsoft Office and Suite
• Good verbal and written communication
• Work well in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

• Lifting: Up to 50 lbs., repeatedly. Team lifts over 50 lbs.
• Reaching: Overhead, frequently
• Fine Motor Skills: Prolonged and repetitive soldering and other hand operations. Requires gripping, twisting, and pinching with both hands and fingers
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to 10 hours
• Must be able to look in and work with a microscope
• Repetitive twisting at the waist

Work Schedule

The planned schedule is a 4-day/10-hour workweek

Shift 1: Mon -- Thurs, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
