Roads to Peace DV/SA Counselor Advocate - Housing Coordinator in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania

Summary Provide support to and advance the mission, programs and services of the Clinton County Women's Center, Inc., d/b/a Roads to Peace (CCWC-RTP) through the delivery of high-quality advocacy and support to all domestic violence survivors seeking permanent supportive housing while maintaining strict confidentiality standards Essential Responsibilities 1. Maintain strict confidentiality standards 2. Be knowledgeable in Financial Justice, housing issues, survivor needs, budgeting, educational opportunities, job/career seeking, and other skills related to retaining permanent supportive housing 3. Establish and maintain rapport with property owners, property management companies and partner organizations 4. Educate property owners about the Housing Assistance Programs and the needs of survivors as they re-establish secure permanent housing 5. Assist in creating and updating forms, procedures and guidelines related to housing programs 6. Create and circulate a list of available housing properties 7. Assist with maintaining inventory/needs lists of household items and resident needs as it pertains to the Housing Assistance Programs 8. Assist in completing required reports and gathering statistics related to the Housing Assistance Programs 9. Serve as an advocate for the housing needs of individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault 10. Participate in Eastern Continuum of Care and in Regional Housing Advisory Board (RHAB) events and trainings 11. Attend case management and staff meetings as required 12. Meet with Executive Director to evaluate the programs and the needs of survivors 13. Document service efforts and time in ETO (Efforts to Outcomes Database System), ETO Parallel HMIS system, and Paytime (Payroll Time Tracking) Additional Responsibilities • Provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, follow-up services and transportation to survivors outside the housing project as needed/requested • Be registered and approved on the Protection from Abuse Database (PFAD) and assist with filling out forms, filing online, and follow-through by helping clients file pro se Protection from Abuse (PFA) as needed • Complete and remain current in all trainings, relevant to essential responsibilities, and expectations required by CCWC-RTP funding agencies Clinton County Women's Center, Inc., d/b/a Roads to Peace • Participate in relevant task forces, committees, and meetings, including PCADV Caucuses if relevant and desired, beyond the required CoC and RHAB • Provide transportation for clients as required • Assist with the maintenance and organization of the shelter, including cleaning, preparing rooms for resident arrival, intake and storage of food, personal care, cleaning supplies and other donations • Serve as a backup to on-call personnel • Perform other duties as required by the Executive Director Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Working knowledge of general PC operations, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License, use of personal vehicle, proof of appropriate auto insurance and registration required and be available for travel as position dictates • Act 33 and Act 34 Child Abuse and Criminal History Clearances and Act 114 Federal Criminal History Background Check (Fingerprint)
