New Hope Community Inc Behavior Specialist in Loch Sheldrake, New York
Overview: New Hope Community Inc is seeking Full-time Behavior Specialist in Sullivan County.
A Behavior Specialist works with a team of clinical professionals to develop behavior plans for individuals with intellectual and/or other developmental disabilities. In addition, a Behavior Specialist works with the residential team providing training and supports to ensure continuity of care for the people who live at New Hope Community. As a Behavior Specialist you will be working with a variety of departments (clinical, residential and nursing) to develop, implement and evaluate behavior plans for the people that are supported at New Hope Community. This means that you will be applying your expertise to make a difference in peoples lives. You will have the responsibility to advocate for the individuals and assist them in achieving their best lives possible. Days can be challenging and busy but also be filled with laughter, learning, and special moments!
Skills needed: Positive Attitude, Communication Skills (both written and verbal), Hardworking, and a Team Player.
Requirements: Background check Reference check Valid Driver License Masters degree in the fields of psychology or social work. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual or other disabilities is preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred, but not required as we provide excellent, ongoing staff training and development experiences for all our staff to ensure you have the knowledge and skillset necessary to do your job well!
Hours, Salary, and Benefits; Full time position, Monday - Friday, $50,000 to $60,000 yearly. Benefits include, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and 401K/Retirement.
