WABCO Compressor Manufacturing Co. has job openings for the position of Supply Chain Supervisor based out of its location in North Charleston, SC.

Job Duties: Responsible to oversee day-to-day activities of material planning & production scheduling; Ensure key metrics met for customer orders, delivery performance, production scheduling, inventory optimization, & cost savings opportunities; Define, deploy supply chain solutions with focus on process improvements through technology enhancements, efficient process design, & automation capabilities; Ensure customer orders & forecast are reviewed & entered into system; Ensure customer requirement dates are monitored with product shipped to arrive by need date; Monitor SAP reports pertaining to customer demand & ordering patterns; Communicate fluctuations to planning team; Prioritize customer requirements when necessary due to component or part shortages &/or capacity limitations; Steer materials team to minimize potential impact of excess & obsolescence; Steer inventory initiatives to optimize inventory, minimize excess & obsolescence and drive process improvements to achieve inventory targets; Identify, escalate, aid in issue-resolution, risk identification, & dependencies while identifying improvement opportunities; Initiate planning process for products by creating BOMs in SAP & supporting completion of sale release planning process; Oversee SLP requirements to ensure customer OTD requirements met; Lead launch post-mortems & implement learnings; Prepare data & reports to assist decision-making & keep management informed of part production, performance measures, & cost savings projects; and Train & mentor team to ensure performance expectations are met. Position requires up to 20% travel for visits to domestic and international customers and suppliers (e.g., for relationship maintenance; discussions of demand and performance).

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in customer service, material planning, production scheduling, or related occupations, and demonstrated experience with: ERP System, including analysis of ERP system parameters to assess transit time for different supply regions; Keeping ERP System parameters properly updated; SAP Modules, including Sales, Material Management, Production Planning, and Logistics Execution; SAP Planning for introduction of new products and for end-of-life of existing products; S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and Forecasting planning; Platform, IBM Cognos Workspace for analyzing material data; Using ABC method for materials management and inventory categorization; Using ABC method to identify items that will impact inventory cost and that will require different management and controls; Supply chain data analysis based on material consumption, ABC curve, manufacturing schedule; Managing customer relationships; Acting as business point of contact for escalation of issues; Working with cross-functional personnel on product launches, product changes, and forecast planning; Advanced Excel including pivot tables & v-lookups; Determine long range forecasting by analyzing sales and operations plan to identify gaps.
