ROUSH Assembler II in Livonia, Michigan

The Assembler II role will perform basic assembly and installation duties. The role will assist and learn from a Senior Assembler. The Assembler II will perform basic manufacturing and cleaning work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As an Assembler II, you will be responsible for: 

  • Training with a Senior Assembler to assemble products and sub-components to support vehicle production and other products

  • Supporting vehicle and material movement in and around facility

  • Following the electronic build book for assembly instructions

  • Cleaning and preparing components and vehicles for production

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

  • Following established safety procedures

  • Learning and performing assigned production procedures to support vehicle and product production

  • Performing work on vehicle systems

  • Performing fabrication duties to include grinding, cutting, and drilling using fixtures and templates

To be considered an Assembler II, you will need:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive experience

  • Ability to work independently while following specific work instructions

  • Understand and exhibit the proper use of calibrated torque tools

  • Proficiency with computer usage

  • Ability to learn and follow written instructions

  • Ability to perform fine hand manipulation

  • Ability to use power tools

  • Ability to focus on details and quality of work

  • Possess basic mechanic tools

  • Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends

  • Participated in high school automotive shop coursework

  • Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance
