The Registered Nurse Stroke Coordinator ensures the quality of work is quantified and analyzed so that important strides can be made, and quality metrics obtained and improved,

There is an opportunity to improve each department's metrics,

This RN Coordinator would prep and deliver quality reporting back to the Stroke Advisory committee and ensure that all modalities of stroke care are delivered in a manner that meets the approval of JC,

Leads the multidisciplinary approach and brings the teams together; PT, OT, Speech, ED, IP, transitions of care, OP follow up,

Perform quality review on all codes strokes

Ensure all members of the stroke team are compliant with requirements for the quality care of stroke patients,

To include yearly stroke education requirement minimums for all members of the care team,

Work collaboratively with nursing education on the development of education plans, all nursing and ancillary teams that care for stroke patients,

The RN Clinical Coordinator requires an engaged stroke champion who leads by example to best practices for stroke patients,

This role provides the administrative component and requires clinical knowledge as well as administrative effectiveness,

Coordinating patient care plans by communicating with all necessary care providers and medical professions to ensure patient needs are met. The Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator ensures the quality of work is quantified and analyzed so that important strides can be made, and quality metrics obtained and improved. There is an opportunity to improve each department's metrics.

This coordinator would prepare and deliver quality reporting back to the Stroke Advisory committee and ensure that all modalities of stroke care are delivered in a manner that meets the approval of JC.

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a clinical setting

  • 2+ years of proven success in leadership roles

  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

  • Superior interpersonal communication skills and the ability to exercise empathy when working with patients and their families

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrate an understanding of standard clinical procedures, laws and regulations

  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology

EDUCATION:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current New Jersey RN licensure required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. (American Heart Association)

  • Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
