Job Overview:

Performs clerical duties to assist the health care team to provide patient care, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, registration of patients (check-in/out), verifying insurance eligibility, coverage and benefits, collects co-payments/coinsurance, typing, scanning, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks related to waiting room flow, patient care and department operations.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 5-10 years experience in an administrative support role preferably in healthcare (hospital, ambulatory or physician office setting).

Preferred

  • Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration

  • Experience with EPIC

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Bilingual speaking

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Working Shift: Two (2) Shifts Per Month (Shifts may be 8 hours or 7 hours depending on department volume)

  • Day Shift

  • Per-Diem

  • Provides administrative support to support the department and clinic.
