Description: This position is an opportunity for a hands-on, self-motivated Subject Matter Expert (SME) candidate to provide technical leadership to a team of highly energized radar field engineers supporting our Ground-Based Air Surveillance (GBAS) product-line of L-Band Radars (TPS-77, TPS-59, FPS-117, TPY-4, and 3DELLR). The position is home based out of Syracuse, New York. The candidate will be required to travel on international assignments both as a team lead and individually to provide technical support to our international customers. The candidate will be involved in cost estimating for new proposals, drafting Statements of Work (SOW), resource assignments, Master Schedule Planning, working with L-Code manager to develop fiscal year Training Plan, and inventory and purchase of tools. The candidate will also interface with System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Integration and Test. The candidate will also be attending Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with our GBAS customers.

Basic Qualifications:

1. In-depth working knowledge of L-Band radar principles and applications

2. Willing to support domestic and international travel to Low, Medium, and High-risk countries as required.

3. Considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on principles of L-Band Radars

4. Has performed team member mentoring

5. Strong demonstrated leadership skills

6. Team Building experience

7. Experience leading in a Matrix Organization

8. Excellent two-way communications skills

9. Experienced international traveler

10. Experienced using the following test equipment

a. Oscilloscopes

b. Spectrum Analyzers

c. Network Analyzers

d. Power Analyzers

e. Logic Analyzer

f. Digital Volt

11. Experience with the following network equipment/applications:

a. Networking (IP configuration, telnet, FTP, etc.)

b. UNIX

c. Solaris

d. Windows

e. Routers

f. Switches

g. Tera Term

h. FileZilla

12. Experience working aloft

13. Understanding of OSHA safety regulations

Desired Skills:

1. Certified Rigger

2. Experience working with Military Customers

3. Cost Account Management

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
