Description

We are in search of a Overnight Dispatcher to join our team in Liverpool, New York. This role is pivotal in our logistics industry, as you will be the main point of contact for our drivers and other warehouses. You will be responsible for data entry of route information, maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders, and problem-solving with drivers. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle high volume of calls with drivers, ensuring they are informed and comfortable with their routes

• Maintain strong communication with other warehouses and drop-off locations

• Enter route information accurately into the system

• Handle any issues or problems that drivers may encounter on their routes

• Maintain a strong backbone when dealing with difficult situations and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner

• Utilize skills in Dispatching, Customer Service, and Administrative Assistance to ensure smooth operations

• Ensure that any delays or issues are communicated and managed effectively

• Act as a point of escalation for any driver issues, complaints or concerns

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Requirements • Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role within the logistics industry

• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on professional communication and the ability to handle difficult situations

• Experience providing administrative assistance, such as managing schedules, filing, and handling correspondence

• Excellent multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple routes and tracking deliveries simultaneously

• Strong knowledge of logistics systems and practices

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations

• Familiarity with GPS systems and other dispatching software or tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing practical and timely solutions

• Strong organizational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Willingness to work in varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and during peak delivery times.
