Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Liverpool, New York

Description

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Syracuse, New York. The role involves managing and resolving customer accounts issues, maintaining precise documentation, and processing customer applications.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage customer credit applications

• Maintain and monitor customer credit records

• Identify and address areas of concern in Accounts Receivable aging

• Communicate with customers or the manager for resolving discrepancies

• Investigate discrepancies for accurate reporting and solution

• Maintain positive relations with existing customers while resolving any issues

• Occasionally apply payments

• Send out daily invoices through mail or email

• Generate invoices

• Handle B2B collections while avoiding cold calls

• Engage with new contacts during collection processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, with a proven ability to manage outstanding invoices and ensure prompt payment of bills.

• Strong knowledge of Excel Formulas, demonstrating the ability to handle large datasets and perform complex calculations.

• Experience in Cash Applications, with the skills to accurately apply payments and credits to customer accounts.

• A minimum of a high school diploma, although an associate degree in finance or a related field is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and other departments regarding payment issues.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in payment records.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems, and a willingness to learn new technologies as required.

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

• Experience in the vending industry would be an advantage, although not strictly necessary.
