LTD Global Events & Fundraising Development Leader (Part-time) in Livermore, California

Location: Livermore, CA

Type: Part-time (20 - 30 hours/week)

Job Summary

The organization seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our fundraising and development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive development strategy to support our mission and expand our impact. This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about nonprofit work and a proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and special events.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations.

  • Lead grant writing efforts, including researching funding opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing grant reporting requirements.

  • Oversee planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and goals.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify fundraising priorities and set annual fundraising goals.

  • Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs to enhance donor engagement and retention.

  • Manage the development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and development.

  • Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities to increase visibility and build strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community organizations.

  • Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events.

  • Proficiency in using donor management software and other relevant tools.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
