HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Oversees the Accounts Receivable group. Ensures that Accounts Receivable processing is done timely, accurately and completely. Applies strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely workflow. Applies strong analytical skills in order to ensure integrity of data being prepared. Uses PC computer skills in a network-based automated accounting environment. Employs effective communication skills in supporting other departments and in day to day interactions.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Supervises, trains and mentors onsite and remote team of AR Analysts. Sets goals and objectives for team members.

  • Responsible for ensuring that AR processes are done in an accurate and timely manner consistent with the policies of Shared Services including issuing invoices and credit memos, sending invoices and account statements, posting cash receipts, etc.

  • Assists other departments in researching discrepancies, etc. and helps resolve customer inquiries.

  • Responsible for contacting customers and working with other departments to collect on past-due balances.

  • Reviews and challenges anything that appears unusual.

  • Monitor unapplied cash.

  • Maintains accurate records and control reports.

  • Prepares and/or reviews all monthly accruals in AR.

  • At each quarter and year-end, ensures that a proper cutoff is achieved so that the general ledger is properly updated.

  • Responsible for the applicable portions of the monthly and quarterly report packages.

  • Responsible for the preparation of appropriate documentation as required by J-Sox.

  • May recommend improvements to AR processes.

  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience.

  • Accounting background in Accounts Receivable, account reconciliation, month-end close activities.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Windows-based PC software packages including Excel and Word, etc.

  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.

  • Experience with Oracle business software and experience with accounting in a manufacturing environment desired.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Skills on system/process automation is a plus

  • Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

  • Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

  • Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  • Constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

  • Prolonged use of computer monitors.
