Job Overview

Reports to:Service Manager, Hard Rock Distribution

Shift:5x2, 8 hours per day

Location: Sudbury, ON

Relocation:This position may be eligible for relocation.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and service underground mining equipment

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective equipment parts and components at customer locations

  • Build strong working relationships with relevant co-workers

  • Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture to achieve Komatsu's organizational Safety, Health, and Environmental goals

  • Comply with Komatsu company policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician, 421A license required

  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed

  • Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • Detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings

  • Qualified candidates will have strong work ethic

  • Experience in previous field service environments is an asset

  • Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving

  • Self-motivated, can multi-task and manage change in responsibilities

  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work shift work from time to time
