Job Description

A multi-media client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a System's Administrator to their team in Denver, CO. This role will be primarily remote, with occasional travel to data centers within the Denver metro area.

We are seeking a dedicated Linux and VMware Administrator with extensive experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), bare metal servers, and VMware vSphere technologies. In this role, you will administer and monitor production systems, triage and process alerts, optimize performance, assist with executing vulnerability management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure deployments. You will also implement process improvements through automation, maintain compliance, and perform timely troubleshooting. You must be a candidate who is self-motivated and enjoys problem-solving.

Payrate range: $40/HR-$50/HR , Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of Linux system administration experience.

 5+ years of experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) or similar Linux operating systems.

 5+ years of experience with the VMware vSphere ecosystem including ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, Virtual Distributed Switch, and other Enterprise-level vSphere technologies.

 5+ years of experience with bare metal server administration utilizing technologies like DHCP/PXE, UEFI management, imaging, auto-provisioning, kickstart.

 Demonstrated experience of datacenter RHCE, Linux, or Kubernetes certification.

 Direct experience with Saltstack/Salt Project versions newer than 3000.

 Experience with Hashicorp Packer or other image management tools.

 Experience with JIRA project management software.

 Experience with Amazon AWS, Azure Cloud, and cloud computing concepts

 Experience with Windows Server system administration and automation, including the use of PowerShell, WinRM, Active Directory, AD DNS/DHCP, and other services.

 Previous work within a cybersecurity-aware team or organization.

 Familiarity with DoD STIGs or the NIST CSF framework.

 Experience with or related to compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, NIST CIS/CSF, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001.

 Experience with Elastic or other SIEMs. null
