Our summer intern experience is designed to provide students with a challenging and meaningful internship to gain valuable hands-on experience. All students in the program will be given a project with clear learning objectives and desired outcomes. At the conclusion of the internship, each intern will have the opportunity to present their summer project to leadership. Interns will also have exposure to other areas of 3D Systems to learn about all of our solutions. You will be given the opportunity to network with other interns and colleagues at 3D Systems including our senior leaders.
What You Will Do
Aid in creation of technical documentation (validation protocols/reports, SOPs, WIs, Forms). Execute notebook studies to provide objective evidence for the development of processes and products. Design build files and operate 3d printers. Aid in development, validation, and sustainment of new and existing healthcare product lines. Explore new and interesting process changes through machine qualification and validations. Work with cross-functional teams to potentially include members from: quality assurance, regulatory affairs, design, manufacturing, etc. Experience Required:
Undergraduate candidates working towards a BS in Engineering Bioengineering/Chemical Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or other relevant discipline Strong proficiency in CAD-software such as: Magics, SolidWorks, CATIA, 3DXpert Experience with anatomic knowledge, quality, testing, manufacturing, instrumentation, controls, design, materials, CAD, statistics/DoE, etc is prefe Prior Lab/research experience highly preferred Strong presentation and public speaking ability Have an outstanding record in his/her discipline with regards to creativity, productivity and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate and interpret ideas shared in a cross-functional environment
Qualifications for the Intern Program:
Ability to work 40 hours per week in the specified location from May to August. A housing stipend can be provided only in unique circumstances Currently enrolled as a student seeking an Undergraduate or Master's degree Preference is for current students who are rising seniors in an undergraduate program or final year students in a graduate program from an accredited school and program. Preference is given to students with internship/co-op/research experience Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Salary Range: $18 - $20/Hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
