Dish Network Principal RAN Systems Engineer in LITTLETON, Colorado

Surpassing network limitations of the past, our Wireless Development organization is building the country’s first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network. Job Duties and Responsibilities

In the System Engineering & Testing Team, the 5G O-RAN Principal Engineer will be driving and supporting all RAN-related matters. You will interact closely with DISHkey partners such as DISH Technology, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and RF Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical evaluations of major system enhancements and major new customer requirements

  • Partner with Capacity & Performance Heads and Program Managers and provide active support and guidance to execute development projects

  • Define Entry/Exit criteria for new RAN software loads/releases migrating from Sandbox > Integration > Pre-production > Production environments

  • Define test cases and evaluate the performance behavior of new software releases in integration/pre-production/production environments

  • Support RAN FOA/FFI testing and evaluation

  • Work on evolving test case automation process to improve SW test cycle time

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications Engineering

  • 10+ years of expert-level proficiency in Radio Access Network (RAN)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of mobile networks, including 3GPP and FCC LTE 4G/5G standards

  • Experience with RAN SW Tools like Accuver, TEMS, NEMO, and Wireshark

  • Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and reporting RAN-related data

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a curiosity for continuous learning

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $190,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
