Humana Senior Business Intelligence Engineer in Little Rock, Arkansas

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will handle the ownership of our 'National' Medicaid reports that are cross-market. This includes working with those market decision makers to influence strategy and integrating complex data sets across markets. Additionally, this role will support onboarding of our newer markets and reporting and data transfers that are required for their successful implementations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of 'National' Guiding Care reports

  • Support report transfer

  • Additional support for TOC and Data Exchanges

  • Additional support ad hocs, new report requests, and new market state reporting needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

  • Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems

  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations

  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Work at Home Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$78,800 - $108,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
