The Production Associate position will assist with all manufacturing, assembly, fabrication and carpentry procedures on TAIT products and projects in a group setting or with minimal guidance from the group lead. This position will require the Production Associate to be highly functional in multiple disciplines and help support the fabrication team to deliver a finished product to TAIT’s standards of quality.
Essential Responsibilities:
Adhere to and implement proper fabrication and assembly techniques.
Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings.
Produce a quality product while focusing on TAIT brand quality and standards.
Clean and maintain workspace area, facility tools and equipment.
Other duties and tasks as assigned within or outside of their departments (i.e., finish work, paint prep, etc.)
Adhere to all facility safety practices and procedures
Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, internal drawings, and WPS
Work efficiently and effectively on all project demands and budget goals
Ability to perform task with minimal supervision
Proficiency with manual machine shop equipment: mills, lathes, saws, etc to manufacture basic parts or part modifications
Ability to lead smaller teams in completing large/detailed mechanical tasks, projects, and or products
Ability to qualify in a multiple of weld procedures based on project requirements
Proficient with precision measuring equipment: callipers, gauges, laser equip, etc
Knowledge and multiple years of experience in rigging equipment and practices (W.L.L, L.A.F., etc)
Proficient with Epicor, Slack, and other TAIT business systems
Ability to fill in for Water Spider duties and responsibilities as needed
Maintain traceability requirements by assisting with documentation on drawing redlines.
Assists with fabrication tasks outside the department as required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1 Year Instructional Training
Fabrication and mechanical assembly experience.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to kneel on floor while working
Must be able to bend, stoop and squat
Job requires pushing, pulling and overhead reach
Must be able to keep pace with workflow
Must be able to work in small, sometimes awkward spaces and positions
Must be able to work OT as needed
