We are seeking a dependable quality inspector to provide the first line of contact for internal and external quality issues. This position will also monitor in-process quality at different stages of production for new and existing products. Parker Hannifin offers competitive pay (starting at $24.88/hour and team members can work their way up to $28.18/hour) and comprehensive benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k/retirement planning benefits, and quarterly profit sharing bonus'.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies

  • Perform incoming receiving inspection of raw materials (tubes, burns bars, side plates, etc.)

  • Perform a in-process and final product spection to ensure product is built to customer specifications and quality requirements

  • Read drawings and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate quality issues to site and functional leadership

  • Calibrate all inspection tools in the shop and maintain calibration system as necessary

  • Attend and participate in various types of business meetings

  • Implement inspection sheet for new and existing processes

  • Complete and maintain various types of paperwork

  • Clean equipment and work area

  • Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D

  • 1 year of previous quality experience preferred

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required

  • Basic math skills required

  • Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprint required

  • Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
