Prepress Manager - Technical Project Management- Lithia Springs, GA
The opportunity:
The purpose of the Prepress Manager role is to serve as a first-level team leader for prepress graphic support staff charged with intake and preparation of production ready artwork to facilitate the production and use of photopolymer printing plates for large format preprint flexographic printing.
How you will impact WestRock:
Schedules, Prioritizes and organizes daily workload of Graphics Department
Lead, supervise, and coach the preprint prepress graphic support staff
Develop and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with Team members and Management to develop corrective actions / solutions to customer issues, gaps or refinement in process.
Collaborate with print site and plate production to resolve print issues
Review and correct any art quoting / pricing issues
Interacts daily with Prepress Specialists, Project Management, Plate Production and Management
Track results towards established goals, prepare and submit reports as required
Perform audits of work instruction procedures
Interview, hire, train, coach and develop employees
Evaluates and verifies employee performance
Ensure staffing needs / requirements are met
Assure that on a daily basis all company standards and Customer Commitments are met
Work Safely at all times
Perform other duties as assigned and assist anywhere needed
What you need to succeed:
Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Package / Graphic Design or related field Preferred
Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Mac Experience Required
5+ years experience with Flexographic printing and plates required

Strong written & oral communication skills
Advanced knowledge of prepress capabilities and processes
Experience in management / print industry
Experience in preflighting of graphic files for plate production
Experience at working with converting sites preferred
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent time management skills - ability to be proactive and acknowledge priority
Knowledge of production capabilities and other department operations
Ability to resolve conflicts and develop teamwork
Ability to work independently… Self Starter
