Bobcat Environmental Health & Safety Technician in Litchfield, North Dakota
*Job Information Establish and promote maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions, and recommend measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards. Prepare reports and documentation requiring a thorough knowledge of the department\'s operation where accuracy and skill are required. Answer phones and take messages. Individual will report to department manager, relieving superior of any administrative details which can be assigned. Role & Responsibility Role Type (Team Member) Manager Senior Manager Function Leader Division Leader Business Leader CEO X Main Responsibility Details Cost Management Advise and assist in the formulation of all safety procedures to be followed by plant personnel, work with maintenance and manufacturing engineering departments as well as back up for nurse for processing paperwork and assisting employees with documentation needed. Record Keeping Maintain necessary files and records to effectively administer the safety program towards accident and health hazards (this includes but not limited to ESS system and CAP database) for Gwinner and assisting with all NA facilities. Prepare and maintain reports, documents, charts/spreadsheets pertaining to environmental, safety and health reporting and record retention making copies when necessary for Gwinner site as well as Global and assisting with all NA facilities. Including OSHA, ISO/OHSAS, VPP requirements. Assist when needed on interfacing with OSHA, ERM, BSI audits and Workman\'s Compensation inspectors during periodic on-site inspections. Job Requirement Education & Qualification Education (including major) Certificate (license) Any - Associates Degree Knowledge & Skill Job-related General Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Email and Web based programs and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understand OSHA/EPA/EPD/SARA rules and regulations and federal, state and local laws pertaining to safety and health. Have a working knowledge of ergonomics and worker\'s compensation laws? Basic computer skills. Ability to follow written instructions.
