Position Overview
Navistar has an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Manager – Facilities to join our team at our WHQ in Lisle, IL. This role reports to the Senior Procurement Manager of Services.
The Procurement Manager role will lead Industrial services cross functionally with the Facilities team, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations departments at Navistar. The Procurement Manager is responsible for working with various stakeholders across North America to support appropriate scoping and requirement documentation and will lead development and delivery of the formal RF(X) process.The Procurement Manager will implement sourcing strategies for Facilities and Industrial Services. This role drives strategic sourcing activities and will negotiate procurement agreements. The Procurement Manager is the point of contact between vendors and the facilitates for current requirements, ensuring, the best value, that timetables are met, and to improve quality and service at the plants and facilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies for purchasing of Industrial Services
Execute sourcing activities related to Industrial Service requirements utilizing the technical scope of work provided by internal stakeholder departments
Lead negotiations and sourcing recommendations
Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and pricing
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
Conduct site visits to assess project status and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications
Build and manage relationships with cross functional team members and management
Review and analyze supplier performance, product quality, and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
Ensure compliance with Procurement policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
At least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
1 year lead experience
OR
Master's degree
At least 6 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
1 year lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
1 year lead experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
Demonstrated Purchasing Experience establishing Procurement strategies and running complex competitive bid processes
Experience with Industrial Services/Facilities commodities is preferred but not required
Experience in a high-paced work environment, handling many projects in parallel
Experience managing engagements/projects with values greater than $250K
Expert of understanding of Services contracting
Negotiation and persuasion skills
