National Express Manager, Vehicle Technology in Lisle, Illinois

National Express LLC is currently seeking a ‘ Manager of Vehicle Technology’ to work either from our corporate office in Lisle, Illinois or remotely. Reporting to the Vice President of IT; this position will be responsible for managing technology within and beyond company operated vehicles, including leading the Vehicle Technology team as a whole.

Responsibilities:

· Perform daily administrative tasks keeping vendor (ex. Zonar) unit information up-to-date.

· Provide notifications to vendor and updates to internal systems as required.

· Work with the vendor and other functions to ensure ongoing program parameters are managed as per contract.

· Work with CSCs, safety, fleet and the operations team to ensure vehicle tracking and mileage reporting is accurate.

· Resolve issues related to vendor (ex. Zonar) units in and out of the program, activations/deactivations, mileage, billing and data reporting.

· Establish and ensure continuous improvement and best practices within the organization in the preparation of monthly communications, develop/manage metrics needed for optimal product (ex. Zonar) utilization and key company initiatives.

· Represent the needs of the company by being the point person to meet with technology vendors (Including but not limited to Zonar) on a regular basis for projects, project management of installations, and vendor performance meetings.

· Participate in various special ad hoc projects providing research and analysis and contribute towards solutions.

· Monitor reports to proactively address potential issues, as well as track vendor performance per contractually defined KPls.

· Provide training for the CSCs on vehicle (ex. Zonar) technology, including driver training on proper usage of devices

· Participate in all technology enhancement projects with products (ex. Zonar) and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication of the technology and internal systems

· Develop and maintain accurate and useful documentation of policies and standard operating procedures for new and existing CSCs.

· On-board (startups, acquisitions) and close down sites as needed on and off the vehicle technology management program.

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

· BS/BA in Business, Operations or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

· 2 - 4 years' experience in information technology, general business operations and software systems

· Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Office and PowerPoint

· Detailed knowledge of Excel and reporting software to prepare reports is considered a plus

· Strong working knowledge of vehicle technology, including: hardware, software and vendors competing in that space

· SQL knowledge or experience a plus

· Knowledge in data management, ability to detect trends and anomalies and initiate

appropriate corrective actions.

· Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.

· Customer Service mindset is essential as this individual will deal with over 200 of the company locations in any given month

· Required to travel across locations in US and Canada for up to 25%+ of the time or as needed

· Appropriate professional certifications considered a plus

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
