​We are looking for an Insurance Associate who will be responsible for supporting the insurance evidence process for the Americas. This person will serve as the initial point of contact for insurance certificate creation, facilitate timely resolution of insurance evidence inquiries, and assist in the insurance renewal process. In addition, this position serves as the secondary point of contact for branch users and for Certificate of Insurance training content, both live and online. This position requires the ability to analyze, communicate and resolve insurance evidence inquiries from internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Review contracts to obtain necessary information and create certificates of insurance as required, including special endorsements.

  • ​Facilitate timely resolution of questions and concerns related to evidence of insurance inquiries from KONE’s branch offices and external customers, including third party vendors.

  • ​Serve as main point of contact for OCPL, including providing reports to broker as needed. This includes monthly review of expiring OCPLs and applicable renewals.

  • Assist the team during the annual certificates of insurance renewal process including associated pre-work.​

  • ​Serve as one of the eCerts Online super users. Duties include, but not limited, to issuing usernames and passwords, performing user audits, providing information related to system updates, and facilitating online certificate of insurance training material as needed.


  • High School Diploma required

  • Business degree a plus


  • 3+ years of related legal or corporate environment experience including commercial insurance knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of insurance and ability to interpret contract language.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverages.

  • Ability to read and interpret contract language for insurance requirements.

  • Ability to review the insurance requirements in a contract and enter the information in the certificate of insurance system to create project specific insurance certificates.

  • Provide support to KONE’s branch offices in the resolution of insurance evidence issues.

  • Ability to analyze, communicate and resolve insurance evidence issues from internal and external customers.

  • Ability to manage multiple system platforms, software and infrastructure to deliver actionable information to varied end-users.

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with business associates and KONE personnel.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize projects and work under extreme pressure of deadlines.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong knowledge of business applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office 365 Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn and practice Lean, Total Quality Management, and ISO principles and processes.
