About the role

  • Our Hazcom team, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the Product Regulation & Stewardship (PRS) department to ensure the compliant, safe and sustainable use of our products worldwide in line with Solvay’s Responsible Care commitment.

  • As a Substance EHS Management Analyst, you will work in collaboration with other teams for case resolution (Operations, TERA, Compliance, Industrial Hygiene, DT and all the PRS teams), and have a positive impact in Solvay's Chemical Industry compliance.

  • In collaboration with EHS Administrator experts, your mission is:

  • To provide support, analysis and services to the Global Business Units to ensure regulatory compliance and an harmonized Solvay raw material management. This is done thanks to a “one stop shop” inside 3E protect and SAP EHS for Raw material composition and regulatory information

  • To identify, for Raw Materials production, the products containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), and closely communicate with the Product Stewards, to allow the implementation of the necessary actions, such Raw Material replacement and assurance of the Business Continuity

  • To ensure Data Management (extractions / analysis / mass update)

  • To manage the rules for Certificates & RDS

  • To analyze and perform update and upload of the rules (SAP EHS package implementation)

  • To manage, update and implement the Biocidal Product Regulation Labels based on customer requirements

  • We offer a 12 Months fixed-term contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Life Sciences.

  • Competencies:

  • Scientific expertise [(Eco)toxicology/Chemistry/Health & Enval Risk Assessment]

  • Regulatory expertise [Classification & Labeling (CLP/GHS)]

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • ERP (SAP EHS) knowledge would be a plus.

  • Knowledge on SDS requirements and regulation would be a plus.

  • Experience with Google applications (e.g. Sheets) and Microsoft tools (e.g. Excel)

  • Familiar and able to easily understand industry processes and regulation constraints

  • Behaviors:

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the portuguese base pay reasonably expected for this role is 26k to 27k, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
