Within the RWS group, the IQVIA Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Real World Methods and Evidence Generation (RW MEG) team is composed of around 160 highly qualified multi-disciplinary professionals from a variety of disciplines including health economics, statistics, epidemiology, and data management, located across eight geographies.

The Role
We are seeking driven candidates to further their career in Health Economics and join our regional European team with a focus on the new EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) And Joint Scientific Consultation (JSC) offerings. The successful candidate will:
Produce materials and services related to a range of EU HTA projects, including PICO simulations, JCA strategy development, JCA dossier development, JSC briefing books and strategy, client trainings on JCA/ JSC and other strategic HTA offerings to support our clients with the new process, with support, training, and senior oversight
Review and synthesise key insights from client materials e.g. CSRs, evidence synthesis reports, value dossiers, systematic literature review reports etc. to develop the JCA or JSC dossiers
Be involved in hands-on day-to day running of smaller projects or workstreams within larger projects including direct client communication
Be involved with mediating, negotiating and problem solving, within and outside of the immediate project team, with senior oversight
Train and identify opportunities for more junior members of the team to support their career development as EU HTA specialists
Work within and across internal IQVIA teams, including technical consultants responsible for studies generating HTA evidence and complimentary functions such as Market Access, Patient-Centered Solutions, HTA Accelerator Solutions, database studies and local teams across the EMEA region
Support thought leadership for JCA/ JSC topics via our EU HTA Solutions team and HTA Evidence and Strategy CoE, such as preparing conference abstracts and posters, supporting development of white papers and peer review publications on HTA and guiding interns working with the team on HTA focused thesis topics
The demand for IQVIA’s JCA/ JSC offerings has seen dramatic increase over the past two years and will continue to expand in response to the new EU JCA/ JSC processes which will come into form from January 2025. The analyst role is pivotal to driving the successful delivering of JCA/ JSC for our clients.
There will also be opportunities to expand your experience into other areas of Health Economics, if desired.

The successful candidate
We are looking for a candidate with a background in life sciences with strong written and verbal communication skills. An ideal candidate has consultancy experience supporting European reimbursement processes (HTA dossiers) and/or early HTA scientific advice but it is not a pre-requisite.

Qualifications and desired experience:
Interested in working in Consulting, in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment, and in developing your expertise in the healthcare industry
Postgraduate degree level education or higher from a relevant discipline (such as, but not limited to, HTA, health economics, health policy, medicine, pharmacy, epidemiology, public health)
At least 2-3 years of extensive relevant work experience (such as, but not limited to, pharmaceutical sector, regional consulting, academia) with preparing evidence submissions or early scientific advice briefing books, aligned to the processes and requirements of HTA agencies in UK, Europe, or other geographies, as well as involvement in the appraisal and negotiation processes, where relevant
An understanding of HTA systems in Europe and medicinal product life cycle
Project management experience in a consulting environment is desirable
Previous experience with HTA, scientific advice or EU JCA/ JSC projects is highly desirable
Previous experience in a consultancy environment is highly desirable
Commercial acumen and proven consultancy skills is highly desirable
Strong numeracy and quantitative skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English) with excellent interpersonal and team working skills, as well as competency using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
