Job Description

Dynatrace is the industry’s most powerful unified observability, security, and business platform. To power all of the apps that are running on our platform, we need a strong foundation. Think of it as an operating system (OS) like MacOS or Windows. It provides core capabilities and services to dozens of applications running on it. This is what the platform team is responsible for.

• Your role as a designer on the platform team is to craft the fundamental OS experience. This involves designing the elements our users engage with every day, such as the launcher, general navigation, search, and other essentials of an effective OS.

• Your role is crucial in establishing consistent design patterns and standards throughout the platform. This ensures that these elements are not only intuitive but also contribute to a powerful, efficient, and seamless user experience.

• You play a central role in unifying and enhancing the overall experience, collaborating closely with our design system team and other teams developing apps on the platform.

• This role requires the ability to look at user flows and product requirements holistically, the drive to proactively bring people together to ensure a collaborative design process, and the drive to own the experience end-to-end until it reaches the customers in high quality.

Qualifications

• You have at least 6 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of designing, shipping, and iterating digital software products and systems — not just websites or campaigns. Big bonus if mature in working on Enterprise Software as well.

• Your strengths and interests lie in UX design, but also in the creation of beautiful interfaces. You have a good eye for visual and communications design and mastering low and high-fidelity prototypes is mediation for you.

• You integrate user experience and design work on the product in agile working models and closely with development where ideation, future vision, detailed improvements, and emerging tasks often happen at the same time.

• You have strong communication and presentation skills, to help people understand the rationale behind design proposals and the complex nuances of design problems.

• You are passionate about building, prototyping, and continually evolving digital products throughout the product life cycle while engaging in user testing sessions for your designs and synthesizing feedback to actionable changes.

• You are an excellent collaborator - adapting to feedback from both users and internal stakeholders, and building stronger products as a result.

• You are fluent in designing for the web as canvas, you should be able to prototype dev-ready interactions and interfaces inside of your favorite set of tools.

• You keep accessibility top of mind for all your designs and can find ways to make beautiful experiences being usable by everyone.

• You gathered your first experiences in transforming businesses while iteratively designing for a new platform as well as unifying multiple products would be an asset

Compensation and rewards

• We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages .

• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to this position, which is EUR 60,000 gross per year (based on full-time). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
