Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 3 to join the Supplier Quality team within the Quality and Mission Excellence organization. This position will report to the Supplier Quality Manager for the Performance Excellence team. Northrop Grumman is committed to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. NGC is seeking a candidate with innovation, problem solving, and quality experience to drive innovations in our processes and tools used to manage our suppliers and drive improvements in supplier quality and delivery performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional organizations to effectively manage suppliers

  • Drive process improvements in our Supplier Performance Management Process (SPMP)

  • Determine effective means of providing supplier feedback to drive improvements in their performance

  • Develop and improve metrics that provide visibility into supplier performance and present findings to upper management

  • Provide technical support and oversight of SAP Supplier Scorecards and the Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS)

  • Develop and lead effective trainings for the sector through live and virtual sessions

  • Oversight of supplier segmentation and provide support to the sector to determine best practices to manage suppliers based on their chosen segment

  • Support and oversight of Return to Green Plan tools and root cause analysis processes to ensure compliance

  • Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Measure business impact of reducing supplied material defects and presentations to communicate to management

  • Support cross functional process improvement teams with subject matter experts

Basic Qualifications for level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer, Quality Analyst, Data Analyst, or in Supplier Management

  • Experience developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics

  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • Presentation and data packaging skills

  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications

  • Project management experience

  • Experience interfacing with suppliers

  • Experience with statistical process control; auditing to ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements

  • Experience with measurement analysis methods

MAQEA

Salary Range: $87,800.00 - $138,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
