nVent Field Application Engineer in Linkou, Taiwan

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) plays a crucial role in bridging the technical aspects of products and solutions with the requirements and challenges faced by customers. This role involves providing technical support, guidance, and expertise to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. FAEs are responsible for understanding customer needs, demonstrating product capabilities, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring customer requirements are explained properly to Internal Costing/E2e Team.

What your will experience in this Position:

  • Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, including product demonstrations, technical consultations, and solution recommendations.

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their technical requirements, challenges, and objectives.

  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct technical training sessions for customers, sales teams, and partners to enhance their understanding of product features, capabilities, and best practices.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, application notes, and other collateral to support customer engagements and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in technical discussions, presentations, and proposal development to effectively communicate the value proposition of company products and solutions.

  • Travel: Travel to customer sites as needed to provide on-site support, conduct training sessions, and participate in customer meetings and events.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical

  • Proven experience in a technical customer-facing role, such as field application engineering, technical consulting (5+ Years).

  • At least 5 years of experience in HVAC, Data Center cooling, thermal industry.

  • Strong understanding of servers, data center value chain.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools like Excel, Power Point

  • Proficient in CAD, preferably using Autodesk.

  • Presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.

  • Willing to provide onsite technical assistance.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Sales Forces.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required ( around 10-20%).
