The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

The Supplies & Sensors Research and Development team is responsible for testing and evaluating Zebra’s product offerings and driving development and innovation to positively impact customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills

• Increase technology knowledge and skills

• Develop team-based work proficiencies

• Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

• RFID Inlay/Chip/Label Testing

• Performance Testing: Conduct performance evaluations by measuring read range, data accuracy, and signal strength under various conditions and environments.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify the physical integrity and functionality of RFID inlays to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.

• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from RFID tests, identifying patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement, and documenting findings in detailed reports

  THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN LINCOLNSHIRE, IL. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other related science major

• Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 - 2027

• Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

• Experience working in a Lab

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

• Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

• Ability to collaborate as part of a team

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem solving ability

• Keen attention to detail

Salary: USD 19.00 - USD 42.50 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
