WHAT’S INVOLVED IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
You will be part of a highly collaborative highway design team in Lincolnshire where you will be integral to the delivery of interesting Highway projects for our Lincolnshire County Council Client. Your role will liaise with a wide network of Civil Engineers both locally and across the UK.

YOUR TEAM
All our CAD Team provides integral support to highways projects from conception to construction. Your role will be at the heart of our high performing team, using your skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency. Based in the heart of the vibrant and historic city of Lincoln, working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), you will report to the Principal Engineer within the Signs and CAD team (which could be an LCC member of staff).
Your duties:
The interpretation of technical, graphical and diagrammatic data and presentation of same in drawing/presentation form, as a CAD software operator
Be one of a small team of technical experts in the use and operation of CAD, including providing technical guidance and advice on its use and operation
Maintenance of electronic drawing data records and archives.
Assist in the monitoring and management of supply, support and maintenance contract activities for AutoCAD software packages and Drawing Plotter hardware and software.
Deliver own tasks to time and budget
Liaison with technical and project team managers and staff regarding planning of work.
Develop relationships with other LCC and WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
Level 2 in Maths and English along with Level 3 qualification(s) in CAD
Experience in CAD use relevant to the highway design and construction environment
Able to independently organise and programme own workload on a day-to-day basis, focused on delivery to time, cost and quality
Good spatial awareness skills (including interpreting and preparing plans and technical drawings)
Some knowledge of highway construction and delivery methods.
