Job Description

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will:

  • Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs, and develops software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

  • Design and develop data migration automation tools to support domain consolidation efforts, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data migration requirements, develop migration plans, and execute migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Develop business continuity and disaster recovery products in OCI, ensuring the highest levels of data integrity and system availability.

  • Design and implement data replication, backup, and recovery processes to ensure data protection and business continuity.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions for data migration, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical guides.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize requirements towards effective and efficient system design.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • At least 15 years of experience in software architecture, data migration, and cloud computing.

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compute, storage, networking, and database services.

  • Proven experience in designing and developing data migration automation tools and business continuity/disaster recovery products.

  • Strong understanding of data replication, backup, and recovery processes, including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Recovery Manager.

  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.

  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure products or Oracle Health products.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
