Union Bank and Trust Company Senior Operations Administrator in Lincoln, Nebraska
Position Summary: The College Savings Senior Operations Administrator coordinates and processes daily activity and trades, reviews accounts for accuracy and posts financial transactions to accounts. Responsible for processing all incoming payroll and wire contributions to accounts.
Post all College Savings Plan trading activity including: indemnifying, troubleshooting and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Daily financial trading activity, that ranges from 20 million dollars to over 200 million dollars, needs to be processed at or near 100% accuracy.
Review and process requests for distributions, investment changes and various account changes such as changes in ownership/beneficiary, transfers between accounts, etc.
Responsible for the generation and monitoring of transactional fraud reports that includes ACH, Wire, Check, and New Account Fraud. Recommends fraud prevention measures that keep up with future trends in potential fraud situations within the College Savings Group. Responds accordingly to minimize risk and notifies the appropriate levels of management.
Responsible for the creation, processing, and verification of daily ACH files, while troubleshooting and correcting any issues while adhering to strict legal and regulatory requirements and responsibilities. ACH files that amount to over 450 million dollars annually need to be completed in a timely manner every day.
Serve as contact for payroll companies while processing incoming payroll contributions, totaling 10 million dollars annually.
Responsible for all the account level financial transactions during fund mergers and replacements.
Coordinate and process National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) activity and trades.
Serve as back-up for all College Savings Plan operational duties.
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant work experience.
One year 529 College Savings experience, strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and in working with other financial software.
Proven accurate data entry testing at 90% or above.
