Manufacturing Technical Operator – 1st Shift

Pay is $25.00/hr.

As a Manufacturing Technical Operator at Haleon, you will be the primary operator and “owner” of your assigned work center. Your responsibilities will include operating and adjusting manufacturing equipment to meet both short-term and long-term safety, quality, and production targets. You will oversee and perform the setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, operation, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment to consistently achieve production and quality standards. Additionally, you will follow GMPs, SOPs, and standard work documentation for your work center, and maintain detailed documentation. In this role, your daily responsibilities may include the following:

  • Operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment according to cGMP and standard work documents.

  • Performing basic measurements, weigh, process, and inspect products/materials.

  • Maintaining material/supply levels and monitoring product variables to ensure quality.

  • Cleaning, change overs, set ups, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment as per cGMP and standard work documents.

  • Ensuring timely and effective operations through direct performance and team contributions.

  • Performing basic equipment adjustments and minor repairs during production.

  • Independently handling tasks requiring intermediate mechanical or technical skills, including replacing parts and assisting in equipment modifications.

  • Coordinating and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs, escalating issues to technical teams as needed.

  • Participating in autonomous maintenance activities and procedure development as required by cGMP and standard work documents.

  • Monitoring equipment and staging areas to resolve issues affecting production, quality, or safety.

  • Ensuring supplier quality of materials and maintaining inventory to reduce waste and unnecessary costs.

  • Accurately documenting production batch records, equipment operations, cleanings, calibrations, adjustments, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping and performing all assigned ERP/SAP transactions.

  • Escalating issues to management for resolution and maintain training compliance in the Learning Management System.

  • Actively participating in skill development to independently operate and perform work in three distinct work centers as outlined in the Operators Career Path.

  • This role is for 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • High school degree or equivalent.

  • 2+ years’ experience in production, or mechanical troubleshooting, OR experience in manufacturing or packaging performing equipment set-up and changeovers or similar demonstrated experience in multi-system mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Successful completion of a timed hands-on mechanical aptitude test at interview stage. (i.e. Standard Timing Model).

  • Proficiency in computer applications and systems, including word processing, spreadsheet management, and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Prior experience with cGMP documentation or other highly regulated industry.

  • Knowledge of PAS-X, SAP, ProFicient, and/or FT Batch computer systems.

  • Experience with a lean organization or other prior exposure to lean concepts, tools, and techniques.
