Robert Half Finance Manager in Lincoln, Nebraska

Description We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial forecasting and reporting across multiple sites, providing insightful analysis of financial results, and driving profitability through effective expense management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial forecasting and reporting across several operational sites

• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability

• Manage operational expenses and focus on reducing inventory shrinkage

• Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce non-operational shrink

• Participate in the recruitment, training, and management of Inventory Control Managers and finance associates

• Lead site-wide and regional shrink committees in conjunction with the Region Vice President Finance

• Assist Region Vice President Finance and Market Vice President Finance in monthly forecast performance

• Ensure accurate reflection of overall trends and impacts of key initiatives in the forecast

• Prepare capital investment proposals for the Region

• Be the local expert in our company's analytical toolbox

• Assist the Region Vice President Finance in preparing the Annual Profit Plan (AOP) on operational expenses and initiatives. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

• MBA preferred

• Candidate must possess at least 5 years of experience in a finance managerial role, preferably in the Food & Food Processing industry.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must.

• Applicant should have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions.

• The candidate should be well versed with Inventory Reconciliation.

• A solid understanding of GAAP Accounting is a must.

• The applicant must not have any discriminatory language or behavior.

• The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively is required.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure are necessary.
