Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Lead to join our clients team, based in Lincoln, Nebraska. As an Accounts Payable Lead, you will serve as the subject matter expert for the accounts payable team, reviewing invoices prior to payment and assuming responsibility for complex duties assigned to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Handle vendor payments by ensuring federal id numbers are verified, checks are scheduled, and any discrepancies in purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment are resolved

• Engage in correspondence with vendors and respond to their inquiries

• Perform calculations for use taxes on paid invoices as necessary

• Oversee vendor files for 1099 purposes and ensure yearly preparation and processing of 1099 forms

• Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to the accounts payable team members

• Build strong partnerships and provide excellent support to other team members and internal customers

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Account Coding, crucial for accurate financial record keeping

• Advanced knowledge of Accounting Software Systems for efficient data management

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services, essential for managing payroll and human resources

• Proficient in using Concur for travel and expense management

• Strong skills in Data Processing, necessary for handling large volumes of financial information

• Familiarity with all Accounting Functions, ensuring comprehensive financial management

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), as this is the primary focus of the role

• Ability to manage and process Invoices efficiently, a key task in this role
