PERRY proTECH Accounting Lead in Lima, Ohio

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills to join our team as an Accounting Team Lead! This individual will support and maintain the organization's accounting operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Train on a variety of accounting roles in order to support accounting team members
  • Work closely with the Accounting Manager to lead and assist with tasks and special projects with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Audit transactions to ensure accuracy in financials
  • Look for efficiencies and implement improvements to processes
  • Assist and mentor team members to resolve inquiries for positive customer/ vendor service
  • Assist Accounting Manager with team meetings to discuss improvements and concerns together
  • Stay informed on accounting regulations and industry trends
  • Utilize programs and software that include but are not limited to ERP Software, Automated Drop Ship Software, Document Storage Software, Microsoft Office Products (32 bit), credit card application, and leasing companies access

  • Ability to work independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Accounting Team Lead works primarily in the office, communicating with the accounting team, customers, leasing companies, vendors, dealers, and other PERRY proTECH personnel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA designation is a plus
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous accounting experience
  • In-depth understanding of general accounting principles
  • Proven track record of strong leadership and driving projects to success
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of independent projects
  • Experience with accounting software
