Job Description
Our Senior Supervisor is a critical leadership role that oversees all aspects of airport operations to ensure a seamless experience for passengers. This position involves managing and guiding multiple teams, strategizing operational improvements, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. You will be responsible for implementing effective procedures, addressing complex logistical challenges, and ensuring consistent customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in staff development, conducting training sessions, and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, you will work with airline partners, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SENIOR SUPERVISOR
You like working as a team, toward a common goal
Lead and oversee a team of supervisors and frontline staff in various airport service departments
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of airport services, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Monitor and manage staff schedules, workload, and assignments to optimize resource allocation
Conduct regular departmental meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates on airport operations
Collaborate with other airport departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges
You have a great attention to detail
You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
Strong customer service skills
Like to build long term relationships with your customers
Physical activity may include:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Over 5 years of experience in airport operations, with proven supervisory experience
Strong leadership skills and experience in team management
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
In-depth knowledge of aviation industry standards and regulations
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility in working hours, including availability for shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to pass a drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
