In-office Expectations: This position offers remote work flexibility; however, if you reside within a commutable distance to one of our main offices in New York, Des Moines, Birmingham, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Seattle, the expectation is to work from the office three times per month.


Role Overview: As the Senior Product Manager for Planning and Optimization Products, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, development, and execution of our suite of D/Cipher tools designed to enhance advertising planning and optimization in a cookieless world. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, with a particular emphasis on collaborating with data scientists to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning. Your goal will be to deliver solutions that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our ad tech offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for planning and optimization products.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and user needs.

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Product Development and Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to design and build innovative planning and optimization tools.

  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on user feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and post-launch optimization.

Collaboration with Data Science Teams:

  • Partner closely with data scientists to identify and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.

  • Facilitate the integration of predictive models and optimization algorithms into product features.

  • Ensure that data science insights are effectively translated into actionable product enhancements.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and impact.

  • Implement A/B testing and other methodologies to validate product hypotheses and optimize features.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.

  • Gather and prioritize feedback from internal and external stakeholders to drive product improvements.

  • Present product updates and results to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.

Industry Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in ad tech, data analytics, and optimization techniques.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to share insights and gather feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in ad tech or a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and optimization algorithms.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing data-driven products.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages.

  • Knowledge of digital advertising ecosystems, including DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs.

  • Understanding of user experience design principles and best practices.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
