Job Description

DDM's Talent Partnerships team is a full-service talent procurement department that provides our clients turnkey talent solutions and access to the people and stories that most align with Meredith's DNA and those who will add the greatest impact to our partners' campaigns.

DDM is seeking a Manager, Talent Partnerships to work within the our in-house creative agency and content studio team, The Foundry. The Associate Manager will work in a pre-sale ideation and sourcing capacity as well as a post-sale procurement and management role, managing talent-centric programs end to end.

II. Essential Job Functions

Talent Curation and Ideation

  • Source talent for native content campaigns that are:

    • On brand

    • In budget

    • Culturally relevant

    • Exciting

  • Collaborate with creative strategists to pitch talent-led campaigns to prospective clients. Pre-sale ideation includes:

    • Quickly and efficiently source potential talent options based on program concept, scope and budget

    • Represent the talent team capabilities in client/agency-facing meetings and pitches

    • Work with Meredith editorial brands to ensure talent options represent editorial brand ethos

Program Management

  • Execution of sold campaigns from sale to launch, inclusive of:

    • Negotiation and contracting of selected talent

    • Work with legal and finance teams to draft talent contracts and coordinate payments

    • Arrange travel, plan logistics, and coordinate talent riders for shoots where applicable

    • Work closely with photo/video to coordinate talent-led shoots and formal productions

    • Distribute call sheets and photo/video treatment documents to talent, schedule calls to review pre-production details with talent/agents

    • Attend photo/video shoots and manage talent needs on-set (as needed, including remote shoots)

    • Activate Influencer campaigns and manage post-campaign evaluation, using measurement tools to track performance metrics

    • Ensure FTC compliance for influencer-led programs and executions

Vision and Strategic Leadership

  • Ability to flag potential issues and problem solve with content strategists and sales in pre- and post-sale

  • Lead such strategic conversations in a constructive, yet authoritative, manor

  • Help identify areas for process improvements

Grow External Relationships & Knowledge

  • Strengthen relationships and develop contacts with agencies and management firms, for influencers, celebrities etc. to aid in talent recommendations and facilitate engagement of talent

  • Maintain awareness of pop culture personalities and trends in order to contribute creatively in pre- and post- sale conversations with the larger Foundry team

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience:

4+ years experience in influencer space, casting, production or similar

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience with talent booking, casting or influencer management

  • Relationships with Talent agents preferred

  • Understanding of the media landscape

  • Familiarity with FTC and SAG/AFTRA guidelines a plus

  • Should be detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities

  • Must possess excellent communication, writing, and organization skills

Pay Range

Salary: $62,400 - $82,500

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
