Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Liberty, Missouri. This role is vital to our team's functionality in the construction industry, where you will oversee and support various essential accounting tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a diverse range of accounting functions, from invoice processing to software integration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist with the invoicing process, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Carry out credit card and loan statement reconciliations

• Handle whip accounting in the construction industry

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger

• Utilize Quickbooks Online and proprietary systems for various accounting tasks

• Lead a small operational team, providing guidance and support as needed

• Engage in software integration tasks for long-term efficiency

• Track and work within spreadsheets, without the requirement for complex formulas

• Undertake balance sheet account responsibilities. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions

• Expertise in managing balance sheet accounts

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Understanding of general ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries
