Job Summary:

The Paraprofessional is a transdisciplinary team member of a fast-paced and energized Assertive Community Treatment team (ACT). ACT clients are supported through the wrap-around care approach to ensure clients receive all needed care from the highly supportive and cohesive ACT team structure. The ACT Paraprofessional embraces, and upholds, the recovery-based principles as the focus of their day.

A day in the life of a Paraprofessional includes being a positive role model through good work ethic, consistency, flexibility, advocacy, and commitment to appropriate and direct communications. ACT clients love our Paraprofessionals for the assistance they provide with shopping, laundry, basic errand running, and support during appointments. Paraprofessionals also complete documentation, check in with clients to establish baseline, assist with providing medication prompts, and other various tasks that supports the incredible service that the ACT team provides.

Paraprofessionals are fully integrated team members who provide highly individualized services for ACT clients in the community setting. Most importantly, they promote client healing, self-determination, encouragement, awareness around mental health, and fierce navigation of systemic barriers for our clients. ACT Paraprofessionals are known for being highly inspired by their jobs and fierce advocates for their clients.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in behavioral health or other closely related field with two years of High school graduate or equivalent

  • Ability to pass background check and driver’s license check upon offer of employment.

  • Provide proof of auto liability insurance coverage per Western’s policies.

  • Montana Driver’s License with good driving record

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • 2 years of experience preferred
