ManTech TECHNICAL WRITER in Lexington Park, Maryland

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer/Analyst join our team in the Lexington Park, MD . This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist in collecting and organizing information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.

  • Be able to edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.

  • Provides centralized documentation control, from document creation through sunset, using various industry standard tools and methodologies for such aspects as library management, version control, review and approval processes, and Quality Assurance.

  • Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, Configuration Guides, various plans, development-related artifacts, and various other technical documents to ensure information is clear, concise, consistent, comprehensive, accurate, and compliant with established customer requirements, and to ensure adherence to program standards and conventions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of zero (0+) or more years’ experience.

  • Possesses extensive/expert knowledge of data collection and organization, development of technical materials, training materials, guidelines, and reports.

  • Experience constructing and editing functional descriptions, system specifications, special reports, and technical deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience providing technical writing services in an Enterprise IT environment.

  • BS/MS Degree

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience

  • TS/SCI Clearance

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen. Must have a current/active Secret clearance, and must be willing and able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
