BAE Systems Systems Integration And Test Technician in Lexington Park, Maryland
Job Description
The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing technical and engineering services to the Customer's Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide. Will apply engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electronic equipment/systems. These skills will also be used in reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation and drawings, development of technical manuals, test plans and procedures, training curriculum and materials for fleet training evolutions. Responsibilities will also include maintenance, repair inspection or troubleshooting of electronic equipment/systems and instructing training classes. Will be required to travel up to 25% worldwide in support of the Customer's Air Traffic Control Systems. BAE Systems wants people who are self-starters and who have experience with working in small teams.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $25.72(Tech II) / 28.79 (Tech III).
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and 2-6 years of experience with electronics or electrical systems
Experience preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings
Experience using, reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation such as test plans, maintenance and assembly procedures, schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and wire lists
Knowledge of Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level repair of electronic systems
Knowledge and experience with proper use of common and specialty hand tools, general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) and special purpose electronic test equipment (SPETE)
Willingness to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations (up to 25%)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with military ATC Systems
Experience with Navigation Aids (specifically VOR/ILS)
Completion of U.S. Navy Electronics C School or equivalent
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Flexibility to learn and utilize other similar systems
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
