ManTech SYSTEMS ENGINEER in Lexington Park, Maryland

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD area. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of system design, development, testing and implementation, product lifecycle, and rapid prototyping.

  • Experience writing and executing test plans, engineering and technical analysis, evaluations, and assessments on a variety of systems.

  • Performing variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems.

  • Able to apply analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning.

  • Directs/assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems.

  • Have knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a related field.

  • Zero (0) or more years of experience

  • Have knowledge of system design, development, testing and implementation, product lifecycle, and rapid prototyping.

  • Experience writing and executing test plans, engineering and technical analysis, evaluations, and assessments on a variety of systems.

  • Familiar with NAVAIR processes and procedures.

  • Must be DoD 8140 compliant if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience.

  • Knowledge of system design, development, testing and implementation, product lifecycle, and rapid prototyping.

  • Familiar with NAVAIR processes and procedures.

  • Experience performing gap analysis and trade studies; developing and executing test events.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active/current Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
