Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. This position involves not only operating a press brake but also fabricating, turning wrenches, and drilling holes. The role is part of a two-person team responsible for building drying conveyor systems used for dehydrating various products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with sheet metal of various gauges and be proficient in different welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and other fabrication machinery.

• Perform tig welding, including vertical, horizontal, corner, and butt welds.

• Work with sheet metal of all gauges, including 16-22 gauge.

• Use various hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.

• Collaborate with a team member to build and assemble drying conveyor systems.

• Report to the erector and follow provided instructions.

• Ensure precision and quality in all welding and fabricating tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3-5+ years of experience in welding and fabricating, specifically tig welding.

• Proficiency in operating press brake and other related machinery.

• Ability to perform vertical, horizontal, corner, and butt welds.

• Experience working with sheet metal of various gauges, especially 16-22 gauge.

• Skilled in using hand tools for fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG/MIG welding.

• Knowledge of operating shear and saw equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled and older facility equipped with welding and fabricating machinery. The workweek includes 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, an 8-hour day on Friday, and a 6-hour day on Saturday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEXINGTON, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
